A modern classic deserving of the Seiko name adored by so many, the Prospex line of diving watches are highly dependable and stylish while sporting numerous utilitarian design elements.
This model features an automatic movement with optional manual winding function, along with a 50-hour power reserve that ensures the watch is always ready to go when you are. The watch also sports bold LumiBrite hands and indexes, for maximum visibility in dark or murky conditions.
Seiko in 1965 created their first Prospex watch, the SPB053J1 is the recrafted version of that watch. The watch made of Stainless Steel has a screw-down case back and screw-down crown allowing the watch to achieve 200m ISO Diver watch Certification. The arrow hands and broad indices are coated with Seiko Lumi Brite.
The black unidirectional bezel surrounds a curved Sapphire crystal with AR coating, giving the user complete assurance of durability. Inside we have the Seiko 6R15 Automatic with hacking and hand-winding, a 23 Jewel beating at 21600 BPH, up to 50 hours power reserve. The 43mm case is finely finished with sharp detailing along the edges of the brushed Stainless Steel.
