The Tsuyosa NJ0151-88X is powered by the Citizen 8210 mechanical automatic movement. Powered by the release of a wound spring, mechanical movements never require a battery. Automatic mechanical movements have an oscillating weight that winds the spring with the motion of the wearer’s arm. The 8210 features 21 jewels and beats at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and has a power reserve of 40 hours once fully charged.

Additional features of the NJ0151-88X feature 3 hands and a day & date function at the 3'o clock marker. It has a water resistance rating up to WR50m / 5 bar. The mens NJ0151-88X has a case size of 40mm with a thickness of 11.7mm. The lug-to-lug size is 45mm. The NJ0151-88X is fitted with a flat anti-reflective Sapphire crystal glass with a cyclops over the date window at the 3 o'clock marker. The bezel is a smooth fixed bezel with a high polish finish. The watch weigh approximately 140gm.

The reverse side of the Citizen Tsuyosa has a screw-down display caseback that offers a view of the self-winding movement that powers the watch, while access to the movement is granted by a small unsigned push/pull style crown that sits partially recessed into the side of the case at the 4 o’clock position.

Connected to the semi-integrated lugs of the Citizen NJ015 series Automatic Tsuyosa is a stainless steel bracelet, which features a rounded three-link design with brushed sides and high-polished centers. The bracelet tapers from 22mm wide where it meets the case down to 18mm where it connects to the clasp, although the bracelet actually attaches to the case with the 9mm wide center links that slot into the lugs.

The bracelet links are completely solid, although the removable ones are secured by friction-fit pins rather than single-sided screws, and the clasp is stamped assembly with a double push-button release that is signed with Citizen’s logo.
